About The Event
Join Jo Haylen in a discussion with Steve Murphy (AMWU), Erin Killion-DelCastillo (Hunter Jobs Alliance) and Jaden Harris (LEAN) on the need for a worker-led response to climate change.
As our communities grapple with the challenges of COVID-19, Labor must present an alternative vision for NSW - a plan to ‘Build Back Better’ after the economic and social upheaval of the pandemic.
This means a worker and job-led response to the challenge of climate change, including investing in strong local manufacturing industries to provide good, secure jobs, decarbonizing heavy industries and building new renewables technologies, and giving coal-reliant communities a say over their futures.
The Hunter Jobs Alliance is a community and union alliance grounded in the local, working with governments and industry to deliver a safe, prosperous future for the Hunter – one in which workers, their families and community, and the environment thrive.
