About The Event
NSW is currently the only state in Australia that doesn’t allow terminally ill people to seek medical assistance to end their own lives.
Join Jo Haylen MP, Trish Doyle MP and Registered Nurse Rita Martin to discuss the Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill 2021 currently before NSW Parliament.
The proposed legislation will give terminally ill people who are experiencing unrelievable suffering the option of ending their lives under medical supervision at the time of their choosing.
The bill is co-sponsored by a record number members across the government, opposition and cross-bench. Amongst the 28 co-sponsors are our very own Labor Left comrades Jo Haylen, Tim Crackenthorp, Trish Doyle, Anthony D’Adam, Sonia Hornery, Jodie Harrison and John Graham.
Come along to find out why this bill is so important, the timing and politics of getting it supported through the Parliament, and how you can help.
