Come along for the annual Bruce Childs lecture, and our final NSW Left event for the year, to hear from AMWU National Secretary Steve Murphy on the Hunter Jobs Alliance.

A former fitter and turner from the Hunter, Steve saw that culture wars over climate change have served politicians far more than they have workers, and decided to do something about it.  This year Steve has worked with LEAN and a broad range of unions and community groups to set up the Hunter Jobs Alliance.

The Hunter Jobs Alliance intends to work with governments and industry to deliver a safe, prosperous future for the Hunter – one in which workers, their families and the environment thrive.
