On the Eve of the NSW Drug Summit - Bruce Childs Lecture

This years annual Bruce Childs Lecture comes at a pivotal time - on the eve of the NSW Drug Summit.

We’ll be joined by Dr Meredith Burgmann and Dr Marianne Jauncey, Medical Director of the Kings Cross Medically Supervised Injecting Centre and Councillor Mitch Wilson, Managing Director of the Australian Festivals Association, to reflect on what the 1999 Drug Summit  meant, and the priorities for this one must and the role we all have to play. 

The Drug Summit was hard fought for by Left members and unions at conference and in the State Parliamentary Labor Party for over a decade. 

The event will take place in the Lord Mayor's Reception Room Sydney Town Hall, the formalities will kick off at 6:30pm. Stick around for drinks and nibbles after to catch up with NSW Left comrades!
